Check whether a Steam profile accepts comments

A comment on someone else's Steam profile only posts if the owner allows it in privacy settings. Paste a profile link or SteamID and we will tell you whether the profile accepts comments from non-friends. No password needed, and we write nothing to the profile.

How to open comments on your own profile

  1. Open your Steam profile and click Edit Profile.
  2. Go to Privacy Settings.
  3. Find the Comments setting and choose Public.
  4. Save the changes and reload your profile page.

This setting is separate from overall profile visibility: a profile can be public while its comments stay closed.

Why it matters

Steam answers the same way whether comments are closed or the sender is not allowed to post them. Checking the section in advance is what tells those two apart.
